Mimi Hwang heads Palisades Security Consulting Team's IT Security group.  She is Principal and founder of KAO eTechnologies Inc, a consulting company based in Orlando, Florida specializing in IT security, systems integration, and project management.

• Over 20+ years of progressive information systems experience leading multiple, global project teams to successfully integrate, convert, and reengineer systems and processes.

• Vice-President of Systems Architecture & eMerging Technology at Harcourt, Inc. (1995-2001).

• Established global network security architecture and led timely  migration of 10,000 desktops in a globally distributed networked environment in full compliance to internal auditing security assessments, no interruption of application services, and savings of over $10M over 5 years in cost-avoidance to the company.

• Staff advisor for wide-area-network security architectures required to facilitate corporate mergers and acquisitions, including firewalls, proxy servers, and terminal sessions.

• Global Y2k Project Director on a multi-year multi-divisional $5.5M effort to avoid Y2K systems disaster, reengineer global customer service, and replace proprietary software with systems solution aligned with the corporations security, data, and networked architecture standards.

• Led R&D team to define and assess multiple security and access models for next generation ecommerce platform incorporating elearning, ebook, and ecatalogue functions with back-end legacy systems.

• Chaired annual Enterprise Technology Conference presenting Enterprise Architecture Strategies to 30 divisions.

• Director of PC Computing and Director of Emerging Technology at Time Inc (1980-1995),  responsible for all client-server development, desktop and network operations, software/hardware procurement for 3000-seat NYC location and remote offices.
