Andrew N. Ondich - Infrastructure Hardening

Andrew N. Ondich has been a Security System Designer, a Consultant and a Project Manager for nearly 20 years.  He serves as SecuraComm’s Chief Consultant with direct responsibilities for security program analysis and development, standards, specification and system design and development and program and project management.  Mr. Ondich has more than 16 years experience as a security consultant, project manager and general manager for three national design, installation and service firms.  He specializes in  Security Program Evaluations and Development; Design/Engineering of Security, Fire Protection and Communications Systems; Project Management; and Systems Integration.

Throughout his career, Mr. Ondich analyzed security and telecommunication programs and systems, designed their respective solutions and supervised the engineering, installation, project management and implementation of systems and services at over 1,300 sites.  In these assignments, he has served as the design and application consultant and implementation director.  He has managed sales, installation and service organizations, directing as many as 26 subordinates.  Mr. Ondich has work in a wide range of facilities including corporate headquarters, research facilities, electric generating and water utility facilities, universities, hospitals, hotels and health clubs, private estates, banks and legal institutions.

Mr. Ondich is trained in Closed Circuit Video Systems: Panasonic, Sony, Pelco and Philips; Switching Systems: Pelco, Philips and Matrix; Access Control Systems: Linx, Software House, Lenel and Northern; Intrusion Detection Systems: Radionics, Silent Knight Regency, Westec, Detection Systems; Access Control Systems Applications and Design; Networked Alarm Systems; Vault Design and Application – Class 1,2,M; Fire and Data Vault Design and Application; Residential Security Systems Design Principals; Weapon and Control Tactics:  Kubotan, Pressure Point Control, and Knife Self-Defense.  He is a Member of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) ;Chairman of the Pittsburgh Chapter (1998, 1999); American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS); Vice Chairman – Pittsburgh Chapter (1997); American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS); Secretary – Pittsburgh Chapter (1996); American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS): Assistant Regional Vice President (1999): Pennsylvania/New Jersey Region ASIS; Charter Vice President (1988): West Virginia Burglar/Fire Alarm Association; and President (1989): West Virginia Burglar/Fire Alarm Association.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Slippery Rock State College.
